Our Vineyards

In the foothills of Mt. Tabor, on the lands of Kibbutz Ein Dor, beats the heart of Netofa Winery – 120 dunams (12 ha.) of vineyards planted with varieties that have proven their unique suitability to the terroir of the Lower Galilee. Chenin Blanc, originating from the Loire Valley, and more recently Roussanne, from the Rhone Valley, produce our varietal white wines which differ from their style in our country’s unique landscape. alongside them the Mediterranean Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, together with the Iberian Tempranillo and Touriga Nacional, produce rich and complex red blends, and in exceptional years varietal wines.

The unique microclimate of our vineyards combines with a variety of well-drained soil types and vines planted on slopes in various directions for ideal exposure to light and optimal air flow between the rows. The vines are maintained in the most meticulous manner to obtain low yields, each variety according to its needs. In addition, a highly advanced and restrained irrigation and fertilization regime, an environment free of diseases and pests, and most important – an abundance of love and care that produce high-quality grapes that form the basis of our wines.
