The Vineyards

Among the foothills of Mt. Tabor, in the fields of Kibbutz Ein Dor, beats the heart of Netofa Winery. Thirty acres filled with a wide range of varieties which prove, harvest after harvest are used to produce varietal white wines of a style uncommon in Israel.
The Chenin Blanc, originally from the Loire Valley, and recently, the Roussane from the Rhone Valley, are used to produce varietal white wines of a style uncommon in our country. Alongside them, the Mediterranean varieties – Mourvèdre, Syrah and Grenache, and the the Iberian Tempranillo and Touriga Nacional – create rich, complex red libations.
Our vineyards’ unique microclimate features a variety of well-drained types of soil on slopes facing angles which allow for planting with the ideal exposure to light and optimal air-flow between the rows of vines. The grapes are meticulously pruned and otherwise tended to produce low yields with each variety managed according to its needs.
Add to this a state-of-the-art controlled irrigation and fertilization regime, an environment free of diseases and pests, and most importantly – an abundance of love and care which produces high-quality clusters and establishes the foundation of the winery
